Release Notes August 2019

These release notes are an overview of some major features delivered in this release and development in the works, but not yet ready for release. We have done lots and lots of development, so this list isn’t comprehensive of every line of code we’ve written, but rather a glimpse to get you excited about the release.

Release Highlights

Where am I?! 📍- Google Maps is our new appliance retailer/EV charger locator

Now you’ll know even better where you and your nearest appliance stores are with Google Maps as the engine behind our retail and EV charger locator features. Users will engage with more accurate location information in an interface we’re all familiar with; creating happy, well located customers.

..3.......2....1.... Blast off!!! 🚀 - Mobile performance improvements

Houston we do not have a problem. We’ve worked hard to improve mobile platform speed to make sure even Buzz Aldrin has a zippy energy efficiency experience. We’ve eliminated slow formatting, prioritized information loading, and cleaned out costly code to get snappy mobile performance...without sacrificing function or beautiful design.

He loves me…He loves me not…He loves me…He BETTER love me! 🌹💜- Enhancements to favorite products/saved search signup modals

We’re all familiar with the courtship between utility and customer - both cautious and passionate. We’ve laid the groundwork to help customers make the first move and sign up for Price Drop Alerts and save Product Searches with the ability to nudge anonymous users who spend time on the site.

Spa Day - 🥒💆 Transition to WebApp

We worked so hard on updates for our partners that we treated ourselves to some technical “Me Time” with Yoga and a Spa! We’ve stretched our platform’s capabilities across a new infrastructure, although our engineers are still working to nail the downward python pose. And you might not see how much younger our engineers look from the Dead Sea mud-masks, Organic cucumber eye-slices, and 100 Enervee Score®️ deep tub soak; but you will get the benefits of the refreshed architecture as we'll be more nimble to improve performance, develop enhancements, reduce maintenance and respond to the evolving needs of our partners.

Hasta la Vista, Baby! 🤖🤖🤖- improved tools to identify and protect against bots

The internet has become the wild west of bots attacking and swarming websites to steal information(1). We’ve done our best Terminator impressions and built out new tools to identify, and remove malicious bot traffic from our partner sites, allowing a better understanding of site traffic and consumer behavior. We will continue to be vigilant in evolving with online malicious intenders to make sure they won’t be baaack.

Honorable Mention:

Improved Cars Coverage - we’ve added over 2,000 additional 2018, 2019 and 2020 car models to our Cars Choice Engine!

Enervee Sneak Peek

Development underway, but no dates committed.

Consumer Privacy and Protections

Legislation empowering consumers to control access to data about them will drive major investment by tech companies around the globe, Enervee included. We will be developing features to meet the strictest data governance policies including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and other laws that impact our partners and Enervee. We’ll be reaching out to you in September with detailed information regarding our plans to meet these regulations. We will be working closely with you to ensure consumer protection and legal compliance. We have a history of achieving privacy compliance with General Data Protection Regulation in Europe and will continue that success in the United States.

Honorable Mention:

New Category Alert! - Portable Power Stations are in the works. If you’re interested in enabling this category talk with your Customer Success Manager about cost.
