As of March 2020 you are able to filter appliance dashboards using the "Category Filter" at the top of the dashboard. Each metric will filter to include only sessions with the filtered category. The exception is the "Visits and Page Views by Category" metric with two pie graphs, which will not update based on the category filter to prevent results that are non-intuitive.
One thing to note, is that filtering by category will affect metrics in ways that may seem to not add up, however this is likely due to sessions that contain more than 1 category. For example, if one filters to Thermostats and Washers one may find the total visits for Thermostats and Washers is less than the number of visits for Thermostats plus the number of visits for Washers. This is because some overlap of visitors visited both the Thermostat and Washers categories.
Let's take a simple example to explain further:
Filter: Thermostat
Visit count: 90
Filter: Washers
Visit Count: 25
Filter: Washers and Thermostats
Visit count: 100
90+25 is greater than 100 (115 in fact) This means that 15 visitors visited both washers and thermostats categories.
